【カナダ移住】「カナダでの」学歴や職歴が重要、という話
以前の記事「家族連れカナダ移住方法まとめ」 への追記。
カナダ移住の参考になりそうなYoutubeビデオを２つ見つけたのでシェア。
キャリア再構築の覚悟はあるか？
まずは１つ目。他国（ロシア？）からカナダへの移住を成功させた方のビデオ。
基本的にはあなたの国外での経験はカナダでは認知されないので、カナダでは一番低いポジションからキャリアを再構築することになるよ、とのこと。
Basically, some or usually most of the time your degrees might not be recognized in this new country. You need to start from the very beginning absolutely that means you need to start from the lowest possible position in your company if you don't have much experience or the kind of knowledge to be a professional engineer in Canada. 工場で仕事をする覚悟があるか？
２つ目のビデオはもう少し厳しい。
Let's be honest you're coming from your home country you are a marketing manager or IT manager... Goddamn knows who you are like you you're a banking officer or whatever. You're coming to Canada and you are 0. No one. Okay? Nobody cares where you're coming from. Lots of people don't even know where your country is located and you have to start building your life and here you have to start building your career. ... 日本語に意訳するとこんな感じだろうか。
正直に言おう。君が母国でマーケティングのマネージャだろうが、ITのマネージャだろうが、カナダでは誰もそんなこと知ったこっちゃない。あなたはカナダに来た、そしてカナダでは何も成し遂げていない。あなたはカナダでは何者でもないのだ。殆どのカナダ人はあなたの国がどこにあるかすら知らない。あなたはここカナダで新しいキャリアを構築し直すしか無いのだ。（中略）誰もカナダに来たばかりのあなたに電気技術者のポジションを喜んでオファーしたりはしない。
動画ではまずはsurvival jobとして工場での仕事を探すことをオススメしている。中々厳しい…。
追記：でも、ソフトウェア開発者ならなんとかなる…かも。
一般には加国での就労経験がオファーを貰うには重要だけど、software developerに関してはそうでもないよ、という話もあった。
